Manuel Baldemor
Manuel Baldemor, born on March 26, 1947, in Paete, Laguna, is a celebrated Filipino artist known for his diverse talents in painting, sculpture, printmaking, writing, and book illustration. His art captures the vibrancy of Filipino life, especially the culture and traditions of his hometown.
Baldemor graduated in 1968 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from University of Santo Tomas – College of Architecture and Fine Arts

Baldemor is best known for his stylized and geometric art, often infused with folk sensibility. His works depict scenes of rural life, festivals, and community togetherness. Drawing from Neo-Realism and inspired by artists like Vicente Manansala, Baldemor developed a unique visual language that resonates both locally and internationally.
