Love Bagacina

Jefferson Bañez Bagacina, popularly known as Love Bagacina, is a Filipino painter born on October 12, 1993, in Paete, Laguna, the Carving Capital of the Philippines. Love’s artistic journey began by creating his own style of houses with a touch of the much-treasured Filipino lifestyle. He developed his works using whimsical patterns of houses with a splash of vibrant colors, making his every masterpiece bright and alive.

Love’s paintings portray the simple Filipino lifestyles that he experienced as a child, such as children playing traditional Filipino games, a father selling dirty ice creams, a mother burning dried leaves, a brother carrying containers filled with water, and a group of women talking about each other’s lives. These lifestyles are his spark of joy as a child who grew up in the province.

Love’s artworks gained recognition and awards, including his recognition as “Natatanging Alagad ng Sining sa Bayan ng Paete, Laguna.” Love’s journey as an artist continues to inspire and touch the hearts of many people.
