Ram Mallari
Ram Mallari Jr. is a Filipino contemporary artist renowned for his innovative steampunk sculptures crafted from reclaimed metal. Born in 1966, he grew up in a modest neighborhood in Quezon City, where exposure to metalworking through family members ignited his early interest in the craft.
Mallari pursued architecture in college but did not complete his degree. He worked various jobs, including as a draftsman in the Middle East, before returning to the Philippines to focus on his passion for metal sculpture . In 2011, he began experimenting with iron and reclaimed metals, leading to his breakthrough in the art world.
